ROYAL RUNWAY USER AGREEMENT & PLATFORM POLICY

1. USER TYPES & ROLES
You may interact with Royal Runway in one or more of the following roles:
- Lister – You post items for rent, sale, or donation
- Renter – You rent items listed by others
- Buyer – You purchase listed items
- Donor – You give away items to other users
- Recipient – You accept donated items and agree to pay applicable shipping
All users are subject to the following policies, regardless of role.
2. USER CONDUCT
-- Users agree not to misuse, damage, resell, or misrepresent items.
- Users may not upload or list counterfeit, stolen, or prohibited items.
- Harassment, abuse, or discrimination on the platform is strictly prohibited.
3. GENERAL PLATFORM RULES
- Users must be 18 years or older, or have guardian consent
- Users are responsible for the truth and accuracy of their listings, profiles, and shipping information
- All payments, communication, and disputes must remain within the Royal Runway platform
- Abusive language, harassment, or fraudulent behavior will result in immediate suspension
3. LISTING POLICY (Rent/Sell/Donate)
- Listers must describe item condition honestly and upload clear, accurate photos
- No counterfeit items, replicas, or altered designer goods are allowed
- Royal Runway reserves the right to remove any listing deemed inappropriate, inaccurate, or unsafe
- All item prices (sale or rental) are set by the lister; Royal Runway may apply fees, taxes, or insurance charges
- By listing, you agree to fulfill accepted rental or purchase requests within the specified time
4. PAYMENTS & DEPOSITS
- All transactions must be made through approved payment methods on Royal Runway.
- Royal Runway may place a temporary hold or deposit on your card for high-value items.
- Deposit refunds are processed within 5–7 business days upon successful return and inspection of the item.
5. RENTAL TERMS & INSURANCE COVERAGE
4.1 Insurance Fee
All rentals will include an automatic insurance fee, calculated between 5%–12% of the rental price based on the item category. This fee is paid by the renter at checkout.
4.2 What the Insurance Covers:
- Minor stains, superficial marks
- Small tears, missing buttons
- Normal wear & tear
4.3 What the Insurance Does NOT Cover:
- Permanent damage
- Major alterations
- Total loss or theft
- Irreparable damage requiring full replacement
4.4 Replacement Charges
If an item is significantly damaged or lost, the renter may be charged up to 100% of the item’s original listing price as defined by the lister. Renters may dispute charges within 72 hours of notice.
4.5 Deposits
Royal Runway may place a hold or deposit charge on the renter’s payment method for high-value rentals or flagged risk categories.
6. SALES TERMS
- All purchases are final unless otherwise stated in the listing or agreed upon before checkout
- Royal Runway may retain a percentage commission (5%–15%) on all successful sales, depending on user membership tier
- Buyers are responsible for providing accurate delivery information
7. DONATION TERMS
6.1 Donors
- You may list items to be donated free of charge
- You agree that once claimed and shipped, donations are final and non-returnable
- You may choose to limit donations by region or type of recipient (e.g., students, moms, etc.)
6.2 Recipients
- You must agree to pay for shipping when accepting donated items
- Royal Runway is not responsible for item condition, fit, or usability
- Donation abuse (e.g., accepting for resale) may result in account review or termination
8. SHIPPING & RETURNS
- Listers are responsible for shipping out rented, sold, or donated items within the agreed timeline
- Renters or buyers must return items (if rented) in the same condition they were received, unless damage is covered by insurance
- Late returns may result in additional fees or loss of future rental privileges
- Shipping charges are non-refundable unless item is never received
9. PLATFORM FEES
Royal Runway may charge the following, based on user activity and membership tier:
- Rental insurance fees (5%–12%) paid by the renter
- Platform commissions on sales or rentals (0%–15%)
- Premium listing boosts (optional)
- Subscription/membership fees (Insider, Elite, Unlimited)
- Transaction processing fees (up to 3%)
10. VIOLATIONS & TERMINATION
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for:
- Misrepresentation
- Damage, theft, or alteration of rented items
- Fraudulent activity
- Harassment of other users
- Repeated late shipments, returns, or unresolved disputes
11. LIABILITY & DISPUTES
Royal Runway is a third-party platform facilitating connections between users. We are not the direct seller or owner of individual wardrobe pieces. We are not liable for:
- Fit, appearance, or usability of any item
- Misuse or miscommunication outside of the platform
- Lost packages due to incorrect addresses
Disputes must be reported to support@royalrunway.co within 72 hours of incident. We will investigate and may refund, issue credit, or take other corrective action at our discretion.
12. Changes to Agreement
We may update this Agreement from time to time. You will be notified of significant changes and continued use of the platform will constitute acceptance of the new terms.
13. Privacy Policy
Royal Runway values your privacy. We collect and use your data to improve our services and protect our users. Your personal data (name, address, contact, payment info) is stored securely and will not be shared with third parties without consent, except when required by law.
14. Use of Data and Cookies
We may use cookies to collect non-personal browsing data to enhance your experience. By using the platform, you consent to our use of cookies and data tracking technologies.
15. AGREEMENT ACCEPTANCE
By registering or continuing to use Royal Runway, you agree to abide by this User Agreement and any future updates. You are encouraged to review this agreement periodically. Continued use constitutes acceptance of all revised terms.
